March 30th Sketches

I had the opportunity to talk to Marcelo Vignali
He is a great artist and he allowed me to waste his time with questions, ideas, and critiques.  He gave me a good focus and idea of what I've really been looking to attack.  Here are some of the ideas and style I am hoping to expand on since.  Please check him out, he's a great speaker too.  Hopefully he'll do it again at CTN expo this year.

Spainching for today

Started my Atkins diet today.  Not sure but I'm sure the first 2 weeks will vastly change my art as I get ticked off from no caffeine, sugar, or sweet sweet bread.  I think this is what my stomach feels like today.

Batman, Ink wash

I did an inkwash after watching the awesomeness of Tim Sale.  He's not just a fantastic artist but a top notch guy.  He works hard and does extra work for the hero initiativeThe Hero Initiative creates a financial safety net for comic creators who may need emergency medical aid, financial support for essentials of life, and an avenue back into paying work.

Just a scan, but I added a glow to the eyes, that's it, I promise.

Poo Pages

I got an awesome opportunity to go back and finish a card game based on monkeys throwing Feces at each other.  It was interesting to show nothing but reaction shots as the kid game market wouldn't allow poop to actually be shown.  I did sneak a Dairy Queen poop in the back of one of the cards though, moohahaha.

Here are small versions, property of Wildfire and Catalyst Labs.
