Alien planet
I haven't done anything for a bit regarding personal paintings. Here's a quick red pencil to Photoshop CS3 piece I did today.

Flem the Great Falsetto's assistant
The magicians assistant. He's followed him around since he was a child, now in his 40's his blind devotion to his master shows no signs of cracking.

Sketches for charity
I've decided to frantically fill up 3 moleskin books for charity before CTN Expo. Put in a minimum cash amount, draw a number that coresponds to your very own one of a kind sketch all while helping a worthy cause! Here are a few smatterings of the pages that will be hopefully going home for a good reason!

A week off with Heads
I had a great week in Los Angeles and had the opportunity to sketch with some awesome folks in Culver City. Big thank you to Marcel Spignali for making me feel at home and giving me some great pointers. He was able to talk to his wife on the phone, give me tips on my portfolio, help the sketcher next to me on the necessity of figure drawing, and sketch a character all at the same time.....Most impressive. Head over to his site if you haven't. I also met a very helpful Kendra Melton http://kmillustration.blogspot.com/ who is a blast and another great artist.
Here's some of the sketches I did at various stops along my week.

speed shrooms
I got the opportunity to do a demonstration at work about speed painting, sketch doodling, and character design coloring at the studio. It was great fun and hopefully they learned as much as I did. You can learn a lot about yourself and your train of thought when you HAVE to in front of a group. Reminded me of teaching at Digipen that summer. Here's what it all inspired.
