Jafar's Daughter?
Over at the Think Tank we decided that making Jafar's daughter would be a
fun challenge. This is my take. I tried to adhere to the line quality
and sense of design as getting out of my comfort zone is the point to
it. All the Aladdin artists are so phenomenal I hope I did it a little
bit of justice.

While over at the think tank
We went to the awesome exhibit of Syd Mead's at the Forest Lawn in Glendale LINK
Free, low key, and you can get real close to see his genius strokes.
If you are in Los Angeles area you should go see it.
Our task was to pay homage in our style to Mr. Mead
PS at the museum there is a back section of some great sculptures too.
See all the Think Tanks work at http://thethink-tank.tumblr.com/
We're just gettin' started.

bellydancing
So at the drawing club I've come to realize that I haven't experimented enough due to ego and a sprinkling of people looking over my shoulder to see what I'm doing. So thanks to Bob Kato, this week I decided every 5-15 minute pose had to include a different tool to make the image. And to just rip off the ego band aid I am putting them all here to just tell myself be OK with taking chances. So here they are in all their mistakes and surprises. I have one I really like so I'm going to photoshop it up a bit but here's the rest from last night. All done with a combo of brush pens, microns, prismacolors, flat head calligraphy, copics and watercolor.

Gorillas
Over at the Think Tank our task was creating a 5th member to the Madagascar crew, A Gorilla. We blatantly stole this task from the amazing Mark Mcdonnell.
Here were the studies I made over that day and you can see both our finished paintings over at The Think Tank.
We have quote clues to where we are heading for the next weeks task.
